Nelson Islamic Dawah Academy Appeal

All praise is for Allah, the most merciful for providing us with so many bounties.

With your continued help, love & support, Nelson Islamic Dawah Academy (NIDA) was born out of a decade-long effort from so many local people and, god willing, The Academy will continue to grow and equip the next generation of Nelson Muslims to better serve wider society.

Current Position

Current Building

The Proposed Building (insha Allah)

Proposed Building

The growth truly reflects a positive ethos from the people involved behind-the-scenes and a progressive learning environment where the next generation of Muslims, enter to learn as children and leave to serve as leaders for tomorrow. To reflect this change, the madrassah was renamed Nelson Islamic Dawah Academy (NIDA) in early 2011.

Although The Academy has progressed with 2 extra classes, unfortunately due to high demands, it has a LONG waiting list

Sadly many families are being held back from enrolling their children in our Madrassa due to a SHORTAGE OF SPACE. Currently the kids are squeezed tightly to make room for the extra demand but due to health and safety issues, the committee has no choice but to cap each class size. However you and I can change this!

A Humble Appeal

To meet this demand, The Academy for many years has actively been on the lookout to purchase a larger building. All praise to Allah, with the duas (prayers) of many elders, congregants and our little gems, that opportunity has now come to fruition – a perfect building (situated on Bankhouse Rd) has been made available, situated right in front of the current Madrassa – perfectly ideal with little work required and only a stone throw away. It really is too good to miss!

The cost of the building is approx £375K with £50K further needed for enhancement (Ablution facilities, renovation etc..)

  •  £425,000 NEEDED URGENTLY

This may seem like a staggering amount, but when we put the future of our child/ren in front of us, filled with the love of Allah (S.W.T) & His Prophet (pbuh), their days and nights in the recitation of the Holy Qur’aan, their vital development years of youth, disciplined by Islamic etiquettes – then the return on investment is worth it! That’s right, this is an ‘investment’ and not a ‘loss’ – not only will our paradise be beautified & elevated through every pound we spend but our affairs in this world will blossom too inshallah (God willing).

Donations

To reach our target of £425K and to make this dream a reality, we once again humbly request your support.  With pressing deadlines and a short timescale, we aim to hit our target before 15th November 2011. This will only be possible with your immediate support. Please donate generously today.

May Allah the Almighty reward you all abundantly for your generosity and kindness. We hope you give this appeal your urgent consideration and we pray to Almighty Allah, that he accept all our efforts and may he clear all obstacles so this project reaches completion with ease. Aameen.

Random Quotes

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘If I were to walk on hot coals or on a sword, or if I were to mend my shoes using my feet, that would be better for me than if I were to walk on the grave of a Muslim. And it makes no difference to me if I were to relieve myself in the midst of the graves or in the middle of the market-place [i.e., both are equally bad].’
Ibn Maajah, 1567
